Is Prophecy Being Fulfilled Now? #9

We are living in the most exciting times in history because we are witnessing the prophecies of the Bible being fulfilled. One of the key prophecies concerning God’s people in the end times is the regathering of Israel.

God’s people will be unified in the end times.

One of the most graphic visions concerning the future of God’s people is Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones (Ezekiel 37). Ezekiel saw a vision of valley full of dry bones. In his vision he saw those bones come together, then muscles, tendons, ligaments and organs come on the bones. Then skin grew over the bones. Now the dry bones were whole bodies again. Then God caused the wind to blow on them from the four corners of the earth. This brought life back into them and they stood on their feet and became a mighty army.

For the first time in more than two thousand years Israel has become an autonomous nation again. On May 14, 1948 the Jewish State of Israel was created. Before that time the Jews occupied the land when they returned from the Babylonian exile. Although they were back in the land, they were still under the rule of Cyrus. The Greeks dominated Israel from 333 B.C. until 63 B.C when the Romans took control. The Romans ruled over Israel until the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D and the Jews were scattered to the four corners of the world. Israel has not been an autonomous state until 1948.

Since Israel became an autonomous state in 1948 it has experienced exponential growth. It has not only grown in population but it has grown in military power, resources, and technology. Today Israel stands as one of the leaders in technology.

This rebirth of Israel is prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes. The rebirth of the nation is only part of the fulfillment of the prophecy. God’s people will be drawn back to Him. Much confusion exists among God’s people about who He is.

Ancient Israel who worshipped in the Temple knew about the Messiah who was coming. The sacrifices pictured the Messiah that would come. Jesus fulfilled all the requirements of the Messiah. He is the Messiah. When the Temple sacrifices commence in the end times, they will proclaim Jesus as the Messiah who came to earth to become the sacrifice for our sins.

Now that Israel has been reborn, it is time for them to turn their hearts to God. Not only them but also for all believers. The advent of the signs of the end times ought to cause us to realize the return of the Messiah is near. I believe many of us will be alive on this earth when the second coming happens.
